We are currently recruiting a Host to join our Carriage House and Courtyard Bar Team at Carton House.

Key Responsibilities;

Welcome guests warmly and create a positive first impression upon arrival.
Manage restaurant reservations and ensure all bookings are accurately maintained within the reservation system.
Confirm and follow up on bookings where required, ensuring guest preferences and special requests are recorded and communicated to the team.
Coordinate guest seating to maximize restaurant flow while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Profile guests and maintain accurate guest information, including special occasions, dietary requirements, VIP status, and returning guest preferences.
Act as the primary point of contact for guests, handling enquiries professionally and efficiently.
Liaise closely with the restaurant management and service team to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Monitor table availability and waiting lists, providing accurate wait-time information to guests.
Assist in resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Complete detailed shift handovers and communicate important guest information to colleagues and management.
Maintain the highest standards of presentation, professionalism, and hospitality

Key Requirements:

Previous experience as a Host/Hostess, Receptionist, or in a guest-facing role within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality.
Experience using reservation systems such as SevenRooms, OpenTable, ResDiary, or similar platforms.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
A positive attitude with the ability to build rapport with guests and colleagues alike.
Professional appearance and confident manner.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
