Full job description

We are currently seeking a Night Porter to join our dedicated team and help maintain the high standards and exceptional guest experiences for which we are renowned.

About the Role

As Night Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring our hotel remains secure, welcoming, and ready for guests throughout the night. You’ll be the first point of contact for late arrivals, support operations behind the scenes, and help keep our public areas spotless and welcoming. This role is perfect for someone approachable, professional, and ready to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor the security of the hotel throughout the night.
Check in late arrivals and assist with early departures.
Prepare meeting rooms and general areas to expected standards.
Ensure public areas are clean, tidy, and well-stocked during the night.
Serve food and beverages to residents on request, in line with hotel standards.
Report all incidents or maintenance issues promptly.
Complete Night Audit duties accurately and efficiently.
Assist with manual handling tasks including furniture movement or delivery of boxes.
Be familiar with the hotel layout and local area to assist guests as needed.
Maintain understanding of fire procedures, health & safety, infection control, and emergency protocols.

What You Bring

At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a 4* or 5* hotel.
Great local knowledge of Killarney / Ireland.
Strong computer literacy.
Full clean driver’s license (advantageous).
Excellent attention to detail and standards-driven mindset.
Energetic, approachable, professional, and courteous with a passion for exceptional guest service.
Ability to communicate clearly with guests, management, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Fluent English (written and verbal).
Flexibility to work across different functions and departments when required.
A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
