The Eviston Collection – Killarney, Co. Kerry
The Eviston Collection is currently seeking a reliable and responsible Night Porter to join our team for the upcoming busy season across our properties in Killarney.
Part of the collection includes the long-established Eviston House Hotel, a landmark property welcoming guests to Killarney for generations, and the award-winning The Danny Mann Pub, internationally known for its food, music, and warm Irish hospitality. Working with us means becoming part of a team with a strong reputation for service, tradition, and guest experience in the heart of Killarney town centre.
This is a key overnight position responsible for ensuring guest comfort, safety, and the smooth running of the hotel throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a professional and welcoming presence for guests during night hours
- Assist reception with late check-ins, early departures, and telephone queries
- Carry out regular security and safety checks of the premises
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of all public areas and lobby spaces
- Assist with porter duties and light housekeeping tasks as required
- Serve drinks to residents in the bar when required during the night shift
- Ensure all hotel standards, procedures, and health & safety policies are followed at all times
What We Are Looking For
- Experience is not essential as full training will be provided
- Previous experience in a hotel, porter, bar, or similar role is desirable
- Previous bar experience is preferable; however, full training will be given
- Security experience would be advantageous
- Ability to work independently and remain alert throughout the night shift
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A professional manner and positive attitude
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and peak seasonal periods
