Full job description

We have a fantastic vacancy for Assistant Front Office Manager at the Park House Hotel. This role will report to the Front Office Manager and work closely with the Revenue Manager and Reservations department.

The Park House Hotel is a luxury 4 Star Hotel located in the heart of Galway city. The property consists of 99 bedrooms and award-winning restaurant and has an excellent reputation for customer care, service, accommodation and food. Located in the heart of Galway city, the 4 Star Park House Hotel has been welcoming guests since 1975.

Responsibilities include:

take full responsibility and oversee the effective operation of the Front Desk ensuring a warm, welcoming and professional first impression of the hotel
prompt handling of customer queries, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
hands-on approach to revenue generation, taking the initiative to achieve the best possible occupancy and revenue levels
back-up to Reservations department, deal with reservation enquiries, confirmations and requests
team leader and ongoing training of Front Desk team
Flexibility required, variable shifts including weekends

Experience/ Qualifications required:

a minimum of 2 years in a hotel Front Office in a 4 or 5 Star Hotel
experience of Rezlynx PMS an advantage
thorough knowledge of internet booking sites/ OTAs
excellent and accurate administration and accounting skills
experience dealing with travel agents and tour companies

The ideal candidate should:

be able to oversee and delegate work to others
be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
have an excellent telephone manner
be able to work well under pressure
have a thorough knowledge of Galway and surrounding area
maintain a professional image, be courteous, focused, detail-orientated and provide a high standard of service at all times
