Position Summary
We are seeking a professional, highly organized Front Office & Sales Administrator to join our timber manufacturing team. This dynamic role combines front-desk reception, order administration, and direct customer sales. You will manage walk-in yard sales, process payments, handle phone and email inquiries, and input orders. The ideal candidate is a tech-savvy, adaptable multi-tasker who is highly accurate with numbers and comfortable learning internal systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Yard Sales & Payments: Greet walk-in customers, provide timber product advice, and securely process cash, check, and card payments.
- Order Processing & Data Entry: Accurately input, track, and update customer orders using our internal system.
- Software Transition Support: Operate our current accounting/ERP system daily and actively participate in training to transition to our new platform in the coming months.
- Handle Customer Inquiries: Promptly and professionally answer client questions regarding timber availability, custom orders, pricing, and delivery dates via phone and email.
- Front Office Administration: Manage incoming/outgoing mail, maintain clean reception and counter areas, and file invoices and delivery notes.
- Internal Communication: Coordinate closely with production managers and yard staff to ensure order accuracy and timely dispatch.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Proven history in a front-office, trade counter, retail sales, or administrative role. Experience in manufacturing, building materials, or timber is a major plus. Experience in an accounts role would also be a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Strong IT skills are essential with a proven ability to learn new business and inventory software systems quickly.
- Financial Accuracy: Confident handling cash, operating card terminals, and balancing end-of-day sales transactions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills with a professional, customer-focused phone and email manner.
- Organization: High attention to detail to ensure complex timber dimensions and order quantities are entered perfectly.
- Environment Adaptability: Comfortable split-working between a busy front office desk and stepping into the timber yard environment to assist clients.
Pay: €35,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
