MISSION

WinPower has been operating on the national and international markets for over 30 years on the domains of engineering, Operation & Maintenance of energy generation solutions and providing services for the energy transition of its customers and partners. One of the strategic goals of the organization is to give an opportunity to workers who want to participate in disruptive projects on the energy sector and build new opportunities with the WinPower Team.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

EQF Level 5 (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installations, or a closely related discipline (recent graduates or final-year students are encouraged to apply).
Previous internship or apprenticeship in an electrical maintenance environment is a plus but not required.
Basic understanding of electrical components and systems (switchgear, motors, generators, variable speed drives, control panels, transformers, protection relays) – formal academic knowledge is sufficient.
Willingness to learn safe isolation, testing, and diagnostic procedures for low and medium voltage systems.
Ability to read and interpret basic single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, loop drawings, and technical documentation.
Comfortable using IT systems and basic software; willingness to learn CMMS platforms for logging work orders.
Enthusiastic about hands-on work in an operational and industrial environment.
Strong commitment to safe work practices, including a keen interest in learning electrical isolation, LOTO, arc flash protection, and proper PPE usage (e.g., voltage-rated gloves, arc flash suits).
Awareness of British Standards (e.g., BS 7671 - IET Wiring Regulations) - training will be provided to deepen this knowledge.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Understanding of Portuguese is optional but valued.
Availability and authorisation to work in Ireland is essential.

Basic familiarity with alarm systems, SCADA interfaces, and emergency protocols (training will be provided).
Ability to clearly identify, document, and report electrical maintenance needs accurately.
Basic proficiency in the use of common electrical test equipment and tools (e.g., multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers/meggers, voltage detectors, cable identification tools).

WHAT ROLE WILL YOU PLAY

Assist senior electrical technicians in the execution of predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks for electrical and systems, switchgear, distribution networks, and control equipment at the facilities, following manufacturer manuals and established procedures.
Monitor electrical operational parameters (voltage, current, frequency, temperature) and assist in identifying anomalies, reporting findings to supervisors to support troubleshooting efforts.
Adhere to QAS and HSE procedures and standards at all times, with a specific focus on electrical safety.
Assist in the management, organization, and basic care of electrical tools, test equipment, and calibration instruments.
Support the diagnosis of electrical faults by reading single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and control logic diagrams, and use basic testing equipment (multimeters, clamp meters) under supervision.
Respond to electrical alarms alongside the team and assist in the restoration of systems to full operational status.
Follow strict adherence to Permit to Work systems and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, with specific attention to safe electrical isolation; maintain accurate work documentation and logs.
Log all maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) under the guidance of senior staff.
Support the safe isolation, de-energization, and earthing/grounding of electrical equipment prior to maintenance activities, ensuring safety is the top priority.
Participate in the preparation and review of Method Statements and Risk Assessments (RAMS) to gain a thorough understanding of electrical safety protocols (arc flash, shock hazards, etc.).
Report system anomalies and actively suggest opportunities for process and reliability improvements as part of the learning process.

Pay: €38,000.00-€42,000.00 per year
