TFI Local Link Donegal Sligo Leitrim is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the rollout of an integrated transport model in Co. Donegal. This role involves coordinating day-to-day operations, managing real-time transport scheduling, and ensuring a high-quality service for passengers.
You will act as a key link between passengers, drivers, systems, and stakeholders, using digital platforms to monitor trips, resolve issues, and optimise performance. Responsibilities include supporting bookings, tracking service data, assisting customers, generating reports, and ensuring compliance with operational standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with experience in administrative, logistics, or customer-focused roles and comfort working with digital systems.
This is a 24-month contract (37.5 hours per week) based in Killybegs, with some flexibility required.
The Project Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for passengers, ensuring a high standard of customer service throughout all stages of the journey.
Key duties include:
- Handle customer enquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing clear and timely information on bookings, routes, schedules, and service availability.
- Support passengers who are unable to use the new transport booking app, assisting with trip bookings and ensuring accessibility for all users.
- Communicate service updates such as delays, disruptions, or cancellations in a professional and proactive manner.
- Provide guidance on using the new transport booking app and web portal, including troubleshooting common issues.
- Manage and resolve customer complaints, ensuring issues are addressed efficiently and escalated where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, complaints, and resolutions.
- Collect and analyse customer feedback, identifying trends and recommending improvements to enhance service quality.
- Identify unmet transport needs and report insights to management to support service development and planning.
- Promote a positive customer experience, acting as an ambassador for the integrated transport service and ensuring passengers feel supported and valued at all times.
- Assist in ensuring data security and privacy protocols are maintained in line with GDPR.
- Collaborate with the Operations Coordinator to address health and safety matters related to transport operations including risk assessments & new passenger referrals.
- Work with Senior Financial Administrator in relation to the Financial Management of transport operations in relation to Costs & Fare Reconciliation.
- Work with Service Procurement & Compliance Dept to ensure compliance with service contracts, vehicle standards, driver qualifications, and hours of operation.
- Participate in other projects or initiatives as required by the Company.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Ability to analyse data and provide meaningful insights to inform decisions.
- Proficiency with digital tools and transport management software.
- Strong risk management capabilities, including identification and mitigation of project risks
- Proven ability in project planning, budgeting, and cost control
- Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and resolve conflicts effectively
Desirable:
- Familiarity with transportation systems and/or logistics management.
- Previous experience in demand-responsive or shared mobility services.
- Knowledge of sustainable transportation practices and initiatives.
- Competency in the Irish language would be an advantage

Hours of Work: 37.5 hrs per week (Office Hours Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00)
