Full job description

As a Chargehand, you will support the Foreman in overseeing the installation and testing of Cat6, Cat6A, and Fibre Optic cabling across a variety of operational settings. You will assist in guiding your team to ensure that all work is completed safely, to a high standard, and in line with project schedules and budget expectations. This position will be based on the road covering counties, Tipperary, Waterford, Limerick, Cork, Carlow and Kerry. Responsibilities

Support the Foreman with overseeing the day-to-day work of Technicians on the site to ensure a high standard of installation.
Interpret technical drawings and method statements to plan and execute the team’s work effectively
Ensure the team is in full compliance with Health and Safety standards and all site protocols
Provide On-the-Job training for Technicians as required
Provide hands on support for the installation and testing of structured cabling when needed
Monitor all activity under your care and escalate any out-of-scope activity to Management

Requirements

Experience in a Chargehand/Team Lead role on structured cabling projects, including large scale Cat6, Cat6A, and/or fibre installations
Must have a current Safe Pass or be willing to get one before commencing employment
Full driving license, access to your own transport and be willing to travel to multiple sites
Certification in Working at Heights, Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP) or Hoist Operator training are an advantage but not essential
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead your team and provide training when required
