Full job description

Tim Kelly Group is one of Ireland’s leading Mechanical and Electrical contractors. Due to our continued growth, we are currently recruiting an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team.

As a leading contractor, we specialise in the provision of mechanical, electrical, fire protection and technology services to a range of sectors across Ireland including commercial, pharmaceutical, data centres, manufacturing and healthcare. With such a broad spectrum of sectors and services, you will acquire exceptional opportunities to broaden your skills, abilities and knowledge whiling utilising cutting edge technology and work practices.

The successful candidate will work closely with both the purchasing and finance teams.

Duties:

- Process all incoming supplier purchase invoices, credit notes and statements from email & post, and uploading them to company document management system correctly.

- Liaising with purchasing department to verify or request purchase order numbers and confirm goods received.

- Matching and processing all verified invoices on accounting software, ensuring accurate coding of invoices to the general ledger, projects and cost centres.

- Reconcile all supplier statements monthly.

- Follow up and resolve any Invoices/Credit Note queries directly with suppliers.

- Update creditor listing and assist with supplier payment runs.

- Maintain and set-up supplier invoice templates on internal document management system.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

- Assist with month-end, supporting documentation for Audits.

- Other Ad-hoc duties as required to support the accounts team.

Candidate Requirements:

- Minimum of 1 year experience in accounts payable or a similar role

- Detail focused with good organisation and time management skills

- Good IT skills and proficient with Microsoft Office applications & Outlook

- Pro-active with ability to meet strict deadlines

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
