A rare Finance Manager job in Mayo combining people management, statutory accounting, inventory accounting, transfer pricing and contributing to an S4 Hana implementation has come on-stream. As the Finance Manager you will manage this company’s largest European entity with 70% of sales channelled through this distribution site, selling to over 20 countries with an annual turnover of €600m. This job requires a high-performer who likes variety, responsibilities include:
- Bring year-end accounts to trial balance and work with a Big 4 audit firm on the completion of annual financial statements
- Lead month-end close activities for the entity including accruals, prepayments, payroll journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis with the assistance of a team member who you will manage
- Contribute to the annual budget for the site and report on variances in actuals vs budget and actuals vs previous year for cost centres monthly
- Complete all statutory returns across tax headings and payroll
- Collaborate with FP&A and Supply Chain to manage inventory obsolescence, exercise controls and assign inventory costs to appropriate cost centres
- Liaise with the global tax team on transfer pricing, report on pricing variances in intercompany transactions that deviate from margins outlined in the transfer pricing model
- Exercise controls on cashflow movements, provide forecasts on same and manage foreign exchange fluctuations with the Treasury team
- Work with the full finance team on the S4 Hana implementation which is currently mid-project
- Lead, mentor and manage an established and well-respected team member

The package on offer is worth €75,000-€85,000 including a competitive base salary, annual bonus, annual pay reviews, 8% company pension contribution, health insurance cover, hybrid working, life assurance and clear career progression pathways.
To become the Finance Manager you will hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5+ years multinational company accounting experience.
