Full job description

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to build and develop one of our most important international markets.

We're looking for someone who already has strong relationships within China's tourism, golf or luxury travel sectors and can open doors with travel agencies, golf tour operators, corporate clients, golf clubs and strategic partners.

You will play a key role in introducing Chinese golfers and luxury travellers to Ireland's world-renowned golf courses while helping grow Irish Fairways into the leading provider of golf travel from China to Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute Irish Fairways' business development strategy for Mainland China, Hong Kong and other Mandarin-speaking markets.
Build long-term partnerships with Chinese travel agencies, tour operators and golf travel specialists.
Develop relationships with golf clubs, golf associations, tourism organisations and luxury travel providers.
Generate new corporate and high-net-worth client opportunities.
Represent Irish Fairways at international golf, tourism and luxury travel exhibitions.
Work with Tourism Ireland, Fáilte Ireland and industry partners to promote Ireland as a premium golf destination.
Support Chinese clients throughout the sales and booking process.
Assist with Mandarin marketing materials, presentations and customer communications.
Identify new commercial opportunities and help shape our long-term international growth strategy.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Fluent Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
Previous experience in business development, tourism, hospitality, travel or golf.
An established network within China's travel, golf or luxury tourism industries.
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
A proactive, self-motivated approach to winning new business.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to develop long-term partnerships.
A willingness to travel internationally when required.

Desirable Experience

Experience working with Chinese outbound tourism.
Knowledge of Ireland as a tourism destination.
Golf industry experience or a passion for golf.
Experience organising luxury, corporate or incentive travel.
Existing relationships with golf clubs, travel wholesalers or corporate travel buyers in China.

€60,000–€90,000 On-Target Earnings (OTE) with uncapped commission.
