Full job description

We're recruiting for our new afterschool service in Dunmanway opening January 2027! Be part of our founding family and help shape your own service!

We're on the search for the perfect deputy to complement and support our new team. Working alongside our regional manager and overseeing a team of three or four to begin with, you will ensure we continue to meet all our regulatory requirements while providing the best possible afterschool experience for all our children, families and staff.

We're looking for someone to take a leadership role and grow with us on this journey. Starting with afterschool care, we will be looking to expand our offering locally to include before school and holiday care, and have plans in place to open a preschool later in 2027.

That means you can stay in afterschool or spread your wings and further your career with us.

About you

While your qualifications and experience are important, we’re most interested in you – your personality, hobbies, teaching style and importantly for this job, management style. Basically, what kind of unique role model you will be for our children and staff.

The only thing we ask is that you have a minimum of:

3 years early years or school age afterschool experience
1 year early years or school age afterschool management experience

Of course it will only strengthen your chances if you have:

A relevant early years, school age or similar qualification
A relevant business or management qualification
Experience with Tusla, Hive, Pobal, finances etc
