Full job description

Role: Master Mechanic

Full-time/Competitive Pay/Supportive Team

We are a busy, well established independent garage looking for an experienced Master Mechanic to support our team of qualified mechanics while maintaining high standards of workmanship and efficiency.

This is a senior mechanical role suited to someone very experienced in vehicle repairs with strong diagnostic ability. When mechanics need a second opinion, the role is to support them by reviewing the issue and guiding them through the best possible steps to resolve the problem efficiently.

Key responsibilities:

Support a team of qualified mechanics
Assist mechanics with advanced diagnostics and complex fault finding
Conduct pre- and post-repair road tests to verify that the repair has successfully resolved the issue(s)
Support workshop productivity and maintain a positive team environment
Liaise with service advisors regarding technical issues

Skills and experience required

Fully qualified motor mechanic
Experience in a busy garage environment
Skilled in using diagnostic tools
Experienced with diagnostic and electrical fault finding
Familiarity with parts and ordering
Full driving licence essential

What we Offer

Salary: €60,000pa
Working hours: 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday
30 days paid annual leave (inclusive of public holidays)
Initial and ongoing support from another very experienced master mechanic currently in the role but transitioning to another role in the company so will be available for ongoing guidance, if required
Training will be provided
Support from customer service team
