Job Description

Hours: 22 hours on a short week, 55 hours on a long week. 08:00 to 20:00 (11 hours per day)
Purpose of the post:
To serve as a member of the Eurofins PSS QCL Microbiology group within the client environment to support their technical and analytical tasks, to work to the highest standards in terms of quality and professionalism.
Job Responsibilities

Verification/Calibration of laboratory equipment - pipettes

Responsible for stock replenishment within laboratories and ordering consumables

Responsible for temperature monitoring within laboratories as required

Responsible for shipping materials to external laboratories for testing and preparing shipping documentation, as required

Responsible for cleaning laboratory equipment as required e.g. refrigerators, incubators, water baths etc.

Responsible for sanitisation of laboratory areas, keeping the laboratory area clean and tidy in both ‘seen’ and ‘unseen’ areas.

This person will ensure that all required documentation is completed on time, accurately and legibly.

Responsible for adhering to all company standards in the areas of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies.

As with all members of staff this person is responsible for ensuring that customers requirements are fully met and in so doing will be flexible to work in any area of the business as is required.

Decision-making is in line with completed internal training.

Qualifications
-
NCEA certificate in a related discipline or administrative qualification is preferable.

Laboratory housekeeping experience (preferably in GMP facility).

GMP experience is preferable

Good team player
-
Good communication skills both internally and externally
