Procurement Lead required to join our busy Purchasing & Quantity Surveying Department
The ideal candidate will have some or all of the below:
- Previous purchasing or buying experience within the construction industry in Ireland in any construction disipline
- Or Previous experience working in the Engineering Department, Quantity Surveying Department or Accounts Department.
- Experience in construction materials or other Construction industry Experience
- Good knowledge of construction materials and or processes
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiating ability.
- Ability to compare quotations and identify best overall value rather than price alone.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage purchasing requirements across several projects simultaneously.
- Good communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers and site teams.
- Good computer, microsoft office skilss and use of purchasing systems.
- Ability to work independently while forming part of the wider Commercial and Operations Team.Experience working for a main building or civil engineering contractorwould be particularly advantageous.
