Purchaser required to join our busy Purchasing Department
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous purchasing or buying experience within the construction industry in Ireland.
- Experience in construction materials either by Hardware Experience or other Construction industry Experience
- Good knowledge of construction materials and suppliers.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiating ability.
- Ability to compare quotations and identify best overall value rather than price alone.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage purchasing requirements across several projects simultaneously.
- Good communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers and site teams.
- Good computer, microsoft office skilss and use of purchasing systems.
- Ability to work independently while forming part of the wider Commercial and Operations Team.
Experience working for a main building or civil engineering contractor would be particularly advantageous.
