About the Role
MMD Construction is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Document Controller to manage, maintain, and coordinate all project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will ensure that all drawings, specifications, reports, correspondence, and other project records are accurately controlled, distributed, and archived in accordance with company procedures, project requirements, and industry standards. The role is essential in supporting project teams by ensuring timely access to up-to-date documentation and maintaining compliance with quality management systems.

Key responsibilities

Validate and store all incoming project documentation on company’s Document Management Systems
Ensure that management of document revisions is accurate for all project documentation
Manage and maintain the administration of company Document Management Systems
Support smooth running of day-to-day tasks in the Document Management Department
Responsible for compiling project handover files
Capable of liaising with sub-contractors to ensure timely and accurate submission of handover information
Audit projects each month to ensure compliance with the company’s procedures, ensuring on-time reporting of the audit findings to the Quality Manager
Provide support and training to staff in Document Management processes
Other ad hoc duties assigned by management

Qualifications and Experience

Knowledge and understanding of construction Document Control processes is desirable
Ability to prioritise workload when managing multiple tasks
High attention to detail
Very strong Word, Outlook, Excel etc. is essential
Knowledge of Document Management software desirable
