Full job description

Key Responsibilities

The Yard Marshall is responsible for:

Organising and controlling vehicle movement within the yard
Directing vehicles to loading bays and docking areas
Dispatching vehicles safely and efficiently
Maintaining yard cleanliness and housekeeping standards
Preventing congestion and unsafe parking
Monitoring pedestrian and vehicle segregation
Communicating clearly with drivers, warehouse staff, dispatch and transport
Reporting hazards, damage, incidents, and near misses
Ensuring compliance with site safety procedures
Checking for any damage or discrepancies in vehicles and reporting them to the appropriate authorities.

The Yard Marshall plays a crucial role in maintaining safety standards and ensuring that operations run smoothly, contributing to the overall efficiency of the logistics operation.

Qualifications

previous experience as a yard worker or similar role is preferred.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines.
Forklift/PPT license preferred

Pay: €16.00 per hour
