Key Responsibilities
The Yard Marshall is responsible for:
- Organising and controlling vehicle movement within the yard
- Directing vehicles to loading bays and docking areas
- Dispatching vehicles safely and efficiently
- Maintaining yard cleanliness and housekeeping standards
- Preventing congestion and unsafe parking
- Monitoring pedestrian and vehicle segregation
- Communicating clearly with drivers, warehouse staff, dispatch and transport
- Reporting hazards, damage, incidents, and near misses
- Ensuring compliance with site safety procedures
- Checking for any damage or discrepancies in vehicles and reporting them to the appropriate authorities.
The Yard Marshall plays a crucial role in maintaining safety standards and ensuring that operations run smoothly, contributing to the overall efficiency of the logistics operation.
Qualifications
- previous experience as a yard worker or similar role is preferred.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines.
- Forklift/PPT license preferred
Pay: €16.00 per hour
