Full job description

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service

Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
Welcome guests in a warm and professional manner.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve minor complaints professionally.
Ensure guests receive a positive dining experience from arrival to departure.

Food & Beverage Service

Set up and prepare service areas before each shift.
Serve food and beverages in accordance with company standards.
Maintain knowledge of menus, daily specials, allergens, and beverage offerings.
Process payments and operate the POS system accurately.
Assist with bar service, including the preparation of teas, coffees, and beverages where required.
Ensure tables are cleared and reset promptly.

Operational Duties

Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all service areas.
Follow opening and closing procedures.
Assist with stock rotation and replenishment.
Support conference, banqueting, and event operations as required.
Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures at all times.

Teamwork

Work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments.
Support supervisors and management in achieving departmental goals.
Assist in training and supporting new team members where appropriate.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude during busy service periods.

Skills & ExperienceEssential

Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a Food & Beverage role.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good organisational and multitasking abilities.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Strong attention to detail and presentation.

Desirable

Experience in hotel food and beverage operations.
Barista experience.
Bar service experience.
Knowledge of food allergens and food safety practices.
Experience using POS systems.

Ability to remain calm under pressure.

Working Conditions
