Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
- Welcome guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve minor complaints professionally.
- Ensure guests receive a positive dining experience from arrival to departure.
Food & Beverage Service
- Set up and prepare service areas before each shift.
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain knowledge of menus, daily specials, allergens, and beverage offerings.
- Process payments and operate the POS system accurately.
- Assist with bar service, including the preparation of teas, coffees, and beverages where required.
- Ensure tables are cleared and reset promptly.
Operational Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all service areas.
- Follow opening and closing procedures.
- Assist with stock rotation and replenishment.
- Support conference, banqueting, and event operations as required.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures at all times.
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments.
- Support supervisors and management in achieving departmental goals.
- Assist in training and supporting new team members where appropriate.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude during busy service periods.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a Food & Beverage role.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and presentation.
Desirable
- Experience in hotel food and beverage operations.
- Barista experience.
- Bar service experience.
- Knowledge of food allergens and food safety practices.
- Experience using POS systems.
