Full job description

Shaw Commercials is the Renault Trucks Dealer for the West / Northwest of Ireland. Our business is expanding and we are seeking a motivated and experienced Van Sales Executive to cover the Mid-West and Northwest of Ireland, promoting and selling our range of new and used commercial vehicles. This is a field-based role that requires a strong understanding of the truck and transport industry, excellent customer relationship skills, and the drive to meet and exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities across assigned regions.
Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with existing customers.
Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, presentations, vehicle demonstrations, quotations, and closing deals.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and report performance KPIs.
Collaborate with internal teams (finance, aftersales, workshop) to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and product updates.
Attend customer visits, trade shows, and networking events as required

Essential Requirements

Proven sales experience (preferably within automotive, motor, or transport sectors).
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently.
High level of customer service focus.
IT proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel).
Full clean driving licence.
Willingness to travel regularly across the region

Desirable:

Background in automotive, logistics, construction equipment, or transport industry.
CRM or sales software experience.
Familiarity with brands such as Scania, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, DAF, Renault Trucks, or Iveco.
