Shaw Commercials is the Renault Trucks Dealer for the West / Northwest of Ireland. Our business is expanding and we are seeking a motivated and experienced Van Sales Executive to cover the Mid-West and Northwest of Ireland, promoting and selling our range of new and used commercial vehicles. This is a field-based role that requires a strong understanding of the truck and transport industry, excellent customer relationship skills, and the drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across assigned regions.
- Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with existing customers.
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, presentations, vehicle demonstrations, quotations, and closing deals.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and report performance KPIs.
- Collaborate with internal teams (finance, aftersales, workshop) to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and product updates.
- Attend customer visits, trade shows, and networking events as required
Essential Requirements
- Proven sales experience (preferably within automotive, motor, or transport sectors).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently.
- High level of customer service focus.
- IT proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel).
- Full clean driving licence.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the region
Desirable:
- Background in automotive, logistics, construction equipment, or transport industry.
- CRM or sales software experience.
- Familiarity with brands such as Scania, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, DAF, Renault Trucks, or Iveco.
