Full job description

Tormey Solicitors is seeking an enthusiastic, professional, and highly organised Accounts Assistant / Front Office team member to join our busy office in Athlone Town.

This role combines accounts administration and supporting front office reception duties and would suit someone with a friendly and outgoing personality, an excellent telephone manner, and strong attention to detail.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable however, we are also open to applications from an accounting technician, trainee, or someone looking to develop their skills in a professional office environment.

The successful candidate will be fully office-based in Athlone Town and will join a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inputting data to financial management system
Posting purchase invoices and Payments
Bank reconciliations
Closing completed files
Managing incoming calls and handling all enquiries professionally and efficiently
General front office and administrative duties
Handling incoming and outgoing post, emails, and correspondence
Assisting with file management and office organisation
Supporting solicitors and office staff with day-to-day administrative tasks
Maintaining accurate records with a high level of attention to detail

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

A basic understanding of accounts and bank reconciliations
A good work ethic and a professional attitude
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
An excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills
A warm, friendly, and outgoing personality
Previous office administration or accounts experience preferred
A willingness to learn new procedures and undertake training
The ability to work well as part of a team and use initiative when required
