Full job description

“Medical Secretary / Receptionist We are seeking an experienced Medical Secretary/Receptionist to join our friendly and well-established practice.

This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a medical, healthcare or similar professional administrative environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing appointments and the practice diary Answering telephone calls and welcoming patients Maintaining accurate medical records and patient information Preparing correspondence, reports, referrals and letters Liaising professionally with patients, clinicians and other healthcare providers Providing general administrative support to the practice

Requirements

Applicants must have strong organisational, communication and computer skills, excellent attention to detail and a professional, discreet and reassuring manner when dealing with patients.

The successful candidate must be reliable, able to work independently and capable of managing competing priorities in a busy practice environment.

Experience using electronic medical records systems and familiarity with medical terminology would be an advantage.

What We Offer

Competitive salary of €37500-43,000 per annum, depending on experience
Full-time position, 39 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 8:45am–6:00pm Friday: 8:30am–2:00pm
4 weeks’ annual leave
