Rigid & Artic Lorry / Truck Driver – McMahons Truss, Fermoy

With 14 branches nationwide, a Truss Manufacturing Plant, and three specialist hardwood and sheet material centres, McMahons is proud to support builders, tradespeople, and DIY enthusiasts across Ireland.

We’re now looking for an experienced Rigid Lorry / Truck Driver to join our Fermoy team, someone who takes pride in getting the job done safely, efficiently, and with a smile.

About the Role

As a McMahons Driver, you’re much more than just someone behind the wheel, you’re often the first and most regular point of contact for our customers. Whether you're delivering materials to long standing Irish joineries, your professionalism and people skills make a lasting impression.

You’ll be working closely with a supportive team who value collaboration, clear communication, and looking out for each other. Every day brings variety, from planning your route with the operations team to making a number of multi-drop deliveries and handling materials with care using a HIAB crane and forklift.

We’ll support you every step of the way with structured training in areas like load securement and manual handling, and you’ll be provided with everything you need to work safely and confidently, from PPE and a company phone to regular health and safety updates.

Day Time Hours

Monday to Friday

No Overnights

Option to Take-home the vehicle may be available (subject to approval)

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who:

o Brings a full, clean HGV Class CE licence and at least five years of driving experience.

o Holds up-to-date CPC certification (5 modules) and a digital tachograph card.

o Is Safe Pass certified (or willing to complete training).

o Has a forklift licence and experience operating a HIAB crane (or is eager to learn).

o Communicates clearly and enjoys working as part of a team.

o Is reliable, self-motivated, and takes pride in delivering great service.
