Full job description

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience with MPLS VPN, Firewalls, Data center Networking, and Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN).
Experience with core networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS), and LAN switching.
Experience coding in Python or Go to develop automation solutions for network monitoring and management.

Preferred qualifications:

Certifications: Professional or expert-level industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, or Google's Professional Cloud Network Engineer certification.
Experience performing network troubleshooting and participating in global on-call rotations to maintain service level objectives (SLOs).
Familiarity with Data Center Architecture, Wide Area Network (WAN) design, and Wireless Communications.
A solid understanding of Linux/Unix fundamentals, including system resource monitoring and shell scripting.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects with some complexity, contribute to technical documentation, and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert in multiple network domains (e.g., Routing, Switching, Wireless, Firewalls, SD-WAN, Network Automation).
Manage the network escalations and provide technical leadership during critical service-impacting events, working closely with the Network Operations Center (NOC).
Lead initiatives to meet and exceed Service Level Objectives (SLOs), aiming for a 99.95% network availability target globally.
Oversee the operational aspects of New Product Introductions (NPIs), including designs like NextGEN WAN and Office, involving testing, defining operational requirements, developing support models, and creating documentation.
Develop scripts and tools (often using Python or Go) to automate network diagnostics, configuration, and monitoring tasks.
