- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience with MPLS VPN, Firewalls, Data center Networking, and Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN).
- Experience with core networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS), and LAN switching.
- Experience coding in Python or Go to develop automation solutions for network monitoring and management.
- Certifications: Professional or expert-level industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, or Google's Professional Cloud Network Engineer certification.
- Experience performing network troubleshooting and participating in global on-call rotations to maintain service level objectives (SLOs).
- Familiarity with Data Center Architecture, Wide Area Network (WAN) design, and Wireless Communications.
- A solid understanding of Linux/Unix fundamentals, including system resource monitoring and shell scripting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects with some complexity, contribute to technical documentation, and mentor junior team members.

- Serve as a subject matter expert in multiple network domains (e.g., Routing, Switching, Wireless, Firewalls, SD-WAN, Network Automation).
- Manage the network escalations and provide technical leadership during critical service-impacting events, working closely with the Network Operations Center (NOC).
- Lead initiatives to meet and exceed Service Level Objectives (SLOs), aiming for a 99.95% network availability target globally.
- Oversee the operational aspects of New Product Introductions (NPIs), including designs like NextGEN WAN and Office, involving testing, defining operational requirements, developing support models, and creating documentation.
- Develop scripts and tools (often using Python or Go) to automate network diagnostics, configuration, and monitoring tasks.
