Full job description

We are recruiting for a full-time, permanent Head of Sales & Customer Service to join our leadership team in the Republic of Ireland.

In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for delivering sustainable revenue growth, customer retention, and service excellence across the Republic of Ireland. You will lead the Sales and Customer Service teams, drive commercial performance, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure Glanmore Foods consistently delivers an exceptional customer experience. Reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely with the Head of Sector Development & Growth, you will play a key role in shaping business strategy, supporting organisational development, and fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture.

Key Responsibilities include:

Sales Leadership

Deliver sales, revenue, retention, and profitability targets across the Republic of Ireland.
Lead a value-based sales approach focused on service excellence, quality, innovation, and long-term partnerships.
Convert opportunities generated through tenders, business development, and sector growth initiatives into profitable customer relationships.
Drive account growth and maximise customer lifetime value.
Ensure effective territory management, route planning, and sales execution.

Customer Service & Customer Experience

Lead the customer service function to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
Develop and embed a customer-centric culture throughout the organisation.
Establish, monitor, and improve customer service standards and performance measures.
Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure excellent service delivery and responsiveness.

Leadership & Organisational Contribution

Lead, coach, and develop high-performing Sales and Customer Service teams.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
Contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to the overall direction and success of the business.
Support organisational development, talent growth, and business improvement initiatives.
Collaborate effectively across departments to achieve company-wide objectives.

Change & Digital Transformation

Lead commercial and customer service improvement initiatives.
Drive the adoption and effective use of CRM systems and customer service platforms such as Kanpla.
Promote data-driven decision-making and performance management.
Champion process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency opportunities.

Customer & Market Insight

Act as the voice of the customer within the organisation.
Provide customer feedback and market intelligence to support innovation and future growth strategies.
Collaborate with the Head of Sector Development & Growth on strategic customer opportunities, tenders, and business growth initiatives.

About You:

We are looking for someone who is:

An experienced senior leader in sales, customer service, commercial management, or general management.
Proven in leading and developing high-performing teams.
Successful in delivering revenue growth and customer retention through relationship-led, value-based selling.
Commercially astute with strong financial and business acumen.
Highly data literate with experience using CRM systems and performance analytics.
Comfortable operating in dynamic environments where change and ambiguity are common.
A collaborative leader who can build strong relationships across multiple functions.
Customer-focused, results-driven, and passionate about service excellence.
Resilient, adaptable, and able to influence at all levels of the organisation.
An effective communicator with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Experience

Experience within foodservice, food manufacturing, FMCG, distribution, or a related sector.
Experience managing major customer accounts and contract relationships.
Experience implementing CRM or customer service technology solutions.
Understanding of public and private sector tender environments.
