Area Sales Executive - Window & Door Hardware

About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious, commercially focused Area Sales Executive to join our growing sales team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional to sell quality window and door hardware, and security solutions to window and door manufacturers, and to businesses in the repair, maintenance & home improvements sector. You will develop existing customer relationships, win new business and grow sales across your territory.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the role entails technical product demonstrations, researching the target market, identifying business development opportunities and planning your sales strategy.

Universal Products Limited is Ireland’s leading distributor of hardware and security products to the Window and Door industry.

Our Purpose and Passion is:

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of existing customers.
Identify and win new customers within the territory.
Achieve agreed sales, margin and business development targets.
Regularly visit customers and prospective customers.
Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and close sales opportunities.
Follow up on leads, enquiries and quotations to maximise conversion.
Keep up to date with product developments, market trends and competitor activity.
Maintain accurate customer and sales information within the company’s CRM system.
Attend customer meetings, trade events and supplier training where required.

We are looking for someone who is:

Sales-driven, ambitious and commercially minded.
A strong communicator and relationship builder.
Self-motivated, organised and capable of managing their own territory.
Comfortable working towards targets and KPIs.
Proactive in identifying new business opportunities.
Professional and confident when conducting customer visits and presentations.

Experienced in a field-based sales or inside sales role.

Experience within window & door hardware, construction, building products, manufacturing, distribution or a related industry would be an advantage, although strong sales candidates from other sectors will also be considered.
