Full job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced South Indian Chef to prepare authentic South Indian cuisine while maintaining high standards of taste, hygiene, and presentation. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of traditional recipes, spices, and cooking techniques from South India.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook authentic South Indian dishes such as dosa, idli, vada, sambar, rasam, curries, and rice-based specialties
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes
Manage kitchen operations related to South Indian food preparation
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the kitchen
Monitor food stock, ingredients, and assist with inventory management
Create daily or seasonal menus as required
Train and supervise kitchen assistants when needed
Minimize food waste and follow cost-control practices

Requirements & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a South Indian Chef or similar role
Strong knowledge of traditional South Indian ingredients, spices, and cooking methods
Ability to prepare both vegetarian and non-vegetarian South Indian dishes
Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen safety standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Good time management and organizational skills

Preferred Skills:

Experience in hotels, restaurants, or catering services
Knowledge of regional South Indian cuisines (Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra, Telangana)
Ability to adapt recipes to customer preferences

Working Hours:
Flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: €14.50-€15.50 per hour
