Java Republic is a leading coffee roaster in Ireland, we proudly operate the world’s first purpose-built carbon-neutral roastery and two amazing cafes delivering exceptional coffee, a curated range of organic teas and a wide range of excellent food. If you feel you are ready to join our great team, we may have the perfect role for you. We are seeking to recruit an ambitious and people focused Café Manager to lead our team.

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Café Manager to lead our large, busy café operation. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.

About the Role

As Café Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the café, ensuring smooth operations, high service standards, strong team performance, and excellent food and beverage quality. You will lead and motivate a large team while maintaining an efficient, welcoming, and profitable operation.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage daily café operations in a high-volume environment

· Lead, train, and develop front-of-house and supervisory staff

· Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction

· Manage staff scheduling, rostering, and labour costs

· Monitor stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships

· Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and presentation

· Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally

· Work closely with kitchen and senior management teams

· Drive sales, efficiency, and operational performance

· Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations

What We’re Looking For

· At least 3 years previous experience managing a similar cafe

· Previous experience managing a busy café, restaurant, or hospitality venue

· Strong leadership and team management skills

· Excellent communication and organisational abilities

· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting

· Commercial awareness and problem-solving skills

· Experience with staff training, scheduling, and stock control

· Passion for hospitality and customer service
