Job Description: Floor Supervisor - Vibrant City Centre Wine Bar

We pride ourselves on offering an extensive and curated wine list, paired with delicious small plates and an exceptional customer experience. Our vibrant atmosphere and commitment to quality make us a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Floor Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a passionate hospitality professional with a strong understanding of wine and a proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the floor, maintaining exceptional service standards, and contributing to the overall success of the wine bar.

Requirement: available to work late nights

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of floor staff, including servers, bartenders, and bussers.
Train and mentor new team members, ensuring they meet our service standards and product knowledge requirements.
Create and maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
Customer Service & Operations:
Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at all times.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
Monitor floor operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to service standards.
Maintain a clean and organized dining area.
Oversee table management and ensure efficient seating arrangements.
Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Wine & Beverage Knowledge:
Maintain a strong understanding of our wine list and beverage offerings.
Provide recommendations to customers and answer wine-related questions.
Assist with wine service and ensure proper presentation.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a wine bar or restaurant.
Strong knowledge of wine and beverage service.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proven ability to train and motivate a team.
Excellent customer service skills.
Knowledge of POS systems.
A passion for the wine and hospitality industry.
