Full job description

Multi award winning Keltech Engineering are now recruiting for General Operatives.

If you have previous experience in a hands on role or manufacturing environment and want to join a growing dynamic team, then we want to hear from you.

We are looking for candidates who are flexible, passionate, like working with their hands and take pride in their work.

The General Operative will play a key role in our production, supporting the efficient preparation, assembly or finishing of products. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment and a strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation Tasks:

Prepare parts and components for finishing processes, including cleaning, sanding, and masking as required.
Handle and transport materials and components safely and efficiently between workstations.

Assembly Tasks:

Assemble products or components according to technical drawings, instructions, or specifications.
Use hand and power tools accurately and safely.
Inspect assembled items to ensure quality and precision, addressing any defects.

Quality Assurance:

Monitor parts and products for defects, inconsistencies, or damage and report issues to supervisors.
Maintain high standards of quality throughout all production stages.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Assist in identifying and resolving minor issues during the assembly process.
Provide support across other production areas when required.

Workplace Maintenance and Safety:

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report any equipment malfunctions or hazards promptly.

Continuous Improvement:

Propose ideas to improve processes, efficiency, and workplace safety.
Participate in training sessions to build on existing skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or similar role.
Experience in working with technical drawings, tools, and equipment is essential.

Skills:

Strong understanding of assembly processes and quality control practices.
Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Fluency in English essential

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift and move materials (within safety limits).
Comfortable working in a production environment with repetitive tasks.
