Part-Time School Cleaner

Job Details: Term-Time; Hours: 17-22 hours per week; Monday to Friday;

Hourly Rate: Minimum Wage

Ideally, cleaning would begin straight after school hours 3 p.m. However, starting and finishing hours may be discussed with the Principal.

About the Role

Monageer N.S. is seeking a dedicated and reliable School Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that our school environment is clean, safe, and hygienic for our students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

General cleaning of classrooms, corridors, toilets, and staff rooms.
Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, and dusting surfaces.
Emptying bins and ensuring waste is properly disposed of.
Sanitizing high-contact areas (door handles, handrails, and desks) to maintain health and safety standards.
Monitoring and safely storing cleaning supplies.
Reporting any maintenance issues to the school caretaker or principal.

Requirements

Previous cleaning experience is preferred, though full training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
Ability to work safely and adhere to school hygiene protocols.
Must pass standard Garda Vetting requirements prior to commencement.
