Part-Time School Cleaner
Job Details: Term-Time; Hours: 17-22 hours per week; Monday to Friday;
Hourly Rate: Minimum Wage
Ideally, cleaning would begin straight after school hours 3 p.m. However, starting and finishing hours may be discussed with the Principal.
About the Role
Monageer N.S. is seeking a dedicated and reliable School Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that our school environment is clean, safe, and hygienic for our students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- General cleaning of classrooms, corridors, toilets, and staff rooms.
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, and dusting surfaces.
- Emptying bins and ensuring waste is properly disposed of.
- Sanitizing high-contact areas (door handles, handrails, and desks) to maintain health and safety standards.
- Monitoring and safely storing cleaning supplies.
- Reporting any maintenance issues to the school caretaker or principal.
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience is preferred, though full training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
- Ability to work safely and adhere to school hygiene protocols.
- Must pass standard Garda Vetting requirements prior to commencement.
