Full job description

Sligo Volunteer Centre is a registered charity working with community-based organisations/groups and people wishing to volunteer, towards strengthening the impact of volunteering across Co Sligo.

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised Team Administrator/Office Support to provide support to our busy Volunteer Centre. This is a varied role suited to someone who can quickly become an effective member of the team with minimal induction or supervision. The successful candidate will be flexible, able to work on their own initiative, quality focussed and willing to take on a broad range of administrative and operational tasks as organisational priorities require.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality administrative support to the Volunteer Centre Manager and Board.
Support volunteer recruitment and placement processes, including maintaining accurate records and responding to enquiries.
Liaise with organisations seeking volunteers and provide general customer support.
Assist with reception duties, telephone and email enquiries and visitor reception.
Support the planning and delivery of meetings, events and promotional activities.
Assist with financial administration
Maintain office systems, databases and IT records, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
Prepare correspondence, reports and meeting papers as required.
Undertake additional administrative duties as required to support the effective operation of the Volunteer Centre.

Person Specification

Demonstrable experience in a senior administrative role.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload and changing priorities.
A proactive approach and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database management. Working Knowledge of Salesforce and Canva beneficial.
Experience of financial administration, including invoice processing.
A professional, flexible and solution-focused approach to work.
