Job Purpose:
The Executive Assistant will provide coordination and administrative support to the North-West Regional Business Development Team based in Sligo, with occasional support in other offices. This role will support the delivery of regional enterprise and investment priorities across the North West (Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim), while contributing to wider Border Region activity as required.
Key Tasks:
In line with the strategy targets and objectives set out in
Adapt Intelligently: A Strategy for Sustainable Growth and Innovation 2025-29, the key tasks include:
- Coordinate regional business development activities and engagements.

Deliver high-quality administrative support to ensure efficient team operations.

Support the achievement of strategic objectives, particularly the goal to maximise regional opportunities.

Liaise with clients and stakeholders to promote and facilitate regional growth.

Assist in the implementation of initiatives aligned with IDA Ireland’s organisational strategy.
Strategic Alignment:
- Support efforts to strengthen long-term investment by enabling seamless engagement with existing clients in the region.

Facilitate initiatives that scale cutting-edge innovation, particularly through collaboration with regional stakeholders and institutions.

Assist in activities that drive sustainable change, including support for green and digital transformation projects in the North West.

Contribute to IDA Ireland’s mission to maximise regional opportunities by helping deliver investment and infrastructure that enhances the region’s competitiveness.
The North West Region, with its National Planning Framework (NPF) designated Regional Growth Centres in Letterkenny and Sligo, is home to 55 IDA client companies employing over 9,000 people. The region’s key industry clusters include high-value manufacturing, international financial services, technology, and business services. This role supports IDA Ireland’s commitment to balanced regional development and the delivery of ambitious investment targets.

Additional Requirements-
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with familiarity with social media platforms.

Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

A third-level qualification is desirable, with an interest in pursuing further education (e.g., a degree) considered an advantage.

A full, clean driving licence is desirable.

Experience with content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign is advantageous.

Willingness to embrace flexibility and explore career development opportunities within IDA Ireland’s office network.

Availability to travel and work outside normal office hours as required by the role.
Salary Scale:
€28,358 to €46,439 per annum contributory superannuation. Appointment is made at minimum point of scale.
Rising by long service increments to
€47,762 (after 3 years satisfactory service at the maximum of the range.
