INTRODUCTION

Ballynahinch Castle Hotel, one of Ireland's finest luxury castle hotels situated in the most beautiful location in the heart of Connemara. RESPONSIBLE TO: Front Office Manager

PURPOSE: To do all possible to develop & maintain the experience of the guest at Ballynahinch Castle Hotel while upholding the ethics and principals by which the hotel is run. Supporting the Front of House Team in serving and assisting guests and ensuring that the highest possible standards are maintained at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Ensure that scheduled rosters are followed accordingly and arrive on time for duty.
Availability to work a flexible roster including evening and weekend work.
Ensure that grooming standards are adhered to as per the hotel's grooming policy.
Assist hotel guests on arrival and departure with luggage.
Meet, greet, and guide our guests around the hotel and assist them as required with information.
Ensure that guests receive immediate recognition in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
Ensure that guests are always offered assistance or service even outside of departmental duties.
Communicate and liaise with team members and other areas of operation to ensure any tasks have been completed as agreed.
Manage all guest requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Support the manager & your team in providing the highest possible standards at all times.
Ensure that colleagues are supported at all times and that any new team members are given full support during their inductions and thereafter.
Follow cash handling procedures as per company standard.

HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

Report all accidents and hazards to management in an efficient manner.
To comply with all fire, health and safety regulations and attend necessary training for the safety and security of your colleagues and guests.
Maintain full responsibility for the hygiene and cleanliness of all food & beverage service areas in accordance with government legislation and company policy.
To read, understand and carry out all responsibilities as defined in the Health & Safety statement.

OTHER DUTIES

To carry out any other duty/routine outside normal daily or weekly routine but within the overall scope of your position.
