Tour Guide (2 Positions Available)Explore Galway with Candela

Explore Galway with Candela is recruiting two Tour Guides to join our team:

1 Fluent Spanish & English-speaking Tour Guide
1 English-speaking Tour Guide

You'll lead cultural and historical walking tours of Galway City and, for the Spanish-speaking role, accompany private chauffeur-driven tours to destinations such as the Cliffs of Moher, Connemara, and the Aran Islands as a guide and interpreter.

We're looking for confident communicators who enjoy meeting people, storytelling, and creating memorable experiences for visitors. Full training will be provided.

What You'll Do

Lead engaging walking tours of Galway City.
Share Galway's history, culture, and local stories.
Answer guest questions with confidence and professionalism.
Adapt your delivery to different groups and audiences.
Deliver exceptional customer experiences from start to finish.

What We're Looking For

Fluent English (essential).
Fluent Spanish and English (essential for the Spanish-speaking role).
Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
Reliable, punctual, and professional.
Comfortable leading groups and thinking on your feet.
Passion for tourism, history, culture, and people.

Desirable Experience

Tour guiding, teaching, theatre, hospitality, or similar public-facing roles.
Knowledge of Galway and the West of Ireland.
Tourism industry experience.
Tour guiding qualifications are an advantage but not required.

Working Hours

Flexible hours based on tour schedules, including weekday mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
