Explore Galway with Candela is recruiting two Tour Guides to join our team:
- 1 Fluent Spanish & English-speaking Tour Guide
- 1 English-speaking Tour Guide
You'll lead cultural and historical walking tours of Galway City and, for the Spanish-speaking role, accompany private chauffeur-driven tours to destinations such as the Cliffs of Moher, Connemara, and the Aran Islands as a guide and interpreter.
We're looking for confident communicators who enjoy meeting people, storytelling, and creating memorable experiences for visitors. Full training will be provided.
What You'll Do
- Lead engaging walking tours of Galway City.
- Share Galway's history, culture, and local stories.
- Answer guest questions with confidence and professionalism.
- Adapt your delivery to different groups and audiences.
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences from start to finish.
What We're Looking For
- Fluent English (essential).
- Fluent Spanish and English (essential for the Spanish-speaking role).
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Comfortable leading groups and thinking on your feet.
- Passion for tourism, history, culture, and people.
Desirable Experience
- Tour guiding, teaching, theatre, hospitality, or similar public-facing roles.
- Knowledge of Galway and the West of Ireland.
- Tourism industry experience.
- Tour guiding qualifications are an advantage but not required.
Working Hours
Flexible hours based on tour schedules, including weekday mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
