A Day in the Life

Minimum qualification level 6 NFQ in Engineering Discipline

A Day in The Life Of:

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Perform a variety of duties in the Electronic, Mechanical, Electromechanical and/or Optical areas
Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, devices, or systems
Develops Engineering solutions using DMAIC mythology in a COS environment
Works from schematics, Engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions
Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed I.T. format
Performs calibration and alignment checks, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions
Provide technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement, IT, and product development
Responsible for the installation, calibration, and preventative maintenance of on-line process equipment and for the preparation, maintenance, and control of appropriate documentation outlining product processing work steps
Provide technical support to Lean Sigma initiatives/continuous improvement projects or other task/project teams as required
Assist with Engineering and Manufacturing training
Support and participate in corrective/preventive action procedures and support the collection and trending of product line metrics

Key Skills & Experience

We are looking for a qualified person with minimum Level 6 degree in a relevant discipline
Ability to demonstrate Medtronic traits in their work and good presentation skills are desirable
A dynamic team player and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional team
A good communicator and fluent in English, both in writing and speak
Experienced with computer literacy and team dynamic skills
Knowledge of statistical tools is an advantage
