Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Grocery Retail Manager to lead our store operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service while driving sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of retail staff
Monitor stock levels and coordinate stock ordering and deliveries
Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with the store owner
Handle customer queries, feedback and complaints.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance
Manage staff rostering, training, and performance reviews
Engage with store owner on a regular basis

Requirements

Proven experience in retail management, in grocery or supermarket settings
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
Customer-focused with strong communication skills
An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets
Strong knowledge and experience of reading and actioning reports
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Knowledge of stock control and retail operations
