We are seeking an experienced and motivated Grocery Retail Manager to lead our store operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service while driving sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of retail staff
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate stock ordering and deliveries
- Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with the store owner
- Handle customer queries, feedback and complaints.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance
- Manage staff rostering, training, and performance reviews
- Engage with store owner on a regular basis
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management, in grocery or supermarket settings
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Customer-focused with strong communication skills
- An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets
- Strong knowledge and experience of reading and actioning reports
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of stock control and retail operations
