Full job description

Sheehy Motors Carlow is currently seeking applications for the position of Receptionist / Showroom Host.

As the first point of contact for our customers, the successful candidate will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment within our showroom. We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Welcome and assist customers and visitors in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
Manage the showroom reception area and ensure a positive customer experience at all times.
Answer and direct incoming telephone calls to the appropriate department or team member.
Respond to customer enquiries via email and monitor the showroom inbox.
Assist customers with queries and direct them to the relevant department or representative.
Maintain customer waiting and refreshment areas to a high standard.
Assist with point-of-sale materials, including price lists, brochures, and showroom displays, ensuring they remain up to date and compliant with brand guidelines.
Complete administrative duties including vehicle registrations, motor tax applications, change of ownership documentation, demonstrator logs, and other ad-hoc administration tasks.
Provide administrative support to the Sales, Service, and Finance departments as required.
Maintain accurate CRM records and generate reports using the Dealer Management System (Kerridge).

Influential communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluent English
A team player with an adaptable and flexible approach to work
Excel at understanding, anticipating and meeting customers’ needs

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer-facing role within a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in a similar role within the motor industry would be a distinct advantage.
Strong administration and IT skills.
Experience using Kerridge/Keyloop Dealer Management System would be advantageous.
