Chef de Partie

Ballybofey, Co. Donegal
Busy 4 Hotel | Full-Time | Competitive Salary

Staff Accommodation available at reduced rent

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie to join the dynamic kitchen team at a busy 4-star hotel in Ballybofey. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated chef to develop their career in a fast-paced, professional hospitality environment.

About the Role

As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for running your designated section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene are maintained at all times. You will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences across restaurant service, weddings, conferences, and events.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and present high-quality dishes within your section
Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation
Ensure strict adherence to HACCP and food safety standards
Assist with stock control, ordering, and waste management
Support and mentor junior kitchen staff
Contribute ideas for menu development

The Ideal Candidate

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a busy hotel or restaurant
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety regulations
Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume environment
Team player with excellent communication skills

Required Criteria

Previous Experience Gained at a Similar Level within a High Quality Catering Operation
NVQ Level 2 or the Equivalent in Food Preparation and Cooking
Recognised Current Food Hygiene Certificate
Flexibility to Work Various Shifts including Evenings and Weekends when Required
