Full job description

We are the only private neurological practice located in the Northwest of Ireland. Aside from being located in the Galway Clinic, we also work from our rooms in Sligo Town 2 days a week. We generally see patients by appointment only. We offer a good working climate and an interesting job profile.

For our Sligo rooms, we are looking for a friendly and organised individual to join our medical team as a part-time medical secretary and to start as soon as possible. This position is permanent. The successful applicant will be responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and performing various administrative and medical typing tasks.

**Responsibilities:**

- Greet patients warmly and professionally.

- Schedule appointments and maintain patient records.

- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.

- Assist with various administrative tasks as needed.

- Collaborate and teamwork with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the medical practice.

- Maintain the utmost standards of confidentiality.

**Hours of duty:**

- 17 hours pw: Part-time, Wednesday - Thursday 8:30 –18:00.

- Lunch break: 1 hour, 13:15 - 14:15.

**Requirements:**

- Previous experience in a medical office will be of a distinct advantage.

- Essential to have a track record of strong organisational and communication skills.

- Have a track record of working in a busy environment and an ability to multitask when required.

- Experience with medical databases and with dictaphone-typing will also be of distinct advantage.

**Salary:**:

- Negotiable based on medical experience.

- On working days, public parking will be covered.
