We are looking for a motivated and service-driven IT Support Assistant to join our professional hotel team in Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop their career in IT, gaining broad, hands-on experience across IT support, Microsoft 365, networking, cybersecurity and hotel technology systems.
Working alongside an experienced team and external IT partners, you will provide day-to-day technical support to colleagues across the hotel while developing your knowledge across a wide range of systems and technologies.

As an IT Support Assistant, you will provide technical support across the hotel and assist with the maintenance, security and development of our IT environment.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing day-to-day IT support to hotel colleagues.

Supporting Windows PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices and other IT equipment.
-
Supporting and administering Microsoft 365 and user accounts.
-
Managing user permissions, access and authentication.
-
Troubleshooting network, Wi-Fi and connectivity issues.
-
Supporting the hotel's IP phone and VoIP infrastructure.
-
Maintaining and supporting the hotel's TV network and related systems.
-
Supporting hotel systems including PMS, POS, payment systems and other operational technology.
-
Assisting with the maintenance and support of servers and core IT infrastructure.
-
Supporting network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, access points and related equipment.
-
Assisting with IT maintenance, software updates, hardware upgrades and patching.
-
Assisting with cybersecurity monitoring, endpoint protection, email security and security alerts.
-
Helping to identify and investigate suspicious emails, phishing attempts and other potential security incidents.
-
Assisting with vulnerability management and security updates.
-
Supporting backup processes and carrying out recovery checks.
-
Assisting with business continuity planning and IT recovery procedures.
-
Setting up and securely managing accounts and equipment for new employees.
-
Removing or disabling access and recovering equipment when employees leave the business.

Maintaining accurate IT documentation, asset records and equipment inventories.
-
Working with external IT, security and technology providers when required.
-
Escalating complex technical or security issues appropriately.
The ideal candidate will have:
-
A Third Level IT qualification or relevant IT certification, or equivalent practical experience.
-
Previous IT support experience is desirable, although candidates with relevant qualifications and a strong interest in IT will be considered.

Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.

A basic understanding of networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi.

An understanding of IT security principles and a strong interest in cybersecurity.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Good planning, organisation and time-management skills.
-
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.

Good communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally and courteously with colleagues and guests.

The ability to work independently and use initiative while also knowing when to seek assistance or escalate an issue.

A positive, flexible and can-do attitude.

A willingness to learn new systems and develop technical skills.
