Churchfield Home Services is one of Ireland's leading residential energy-upgrade and retrofit providers, delivering multi-measure home-energy upgrades across Ireland.
As our operations continue to grow, we are strengthening our procurement and resource-management capability to ensure that the business has the right suppliers, subcontractors and specialist resources available to meet current and forecast operational requirements.
We are now recruiting a Procurement & Resource Manager to establish and manage this capability from our Crossmolina office.
The Role
This is a broad operational role combining procurement, subcontractor resource development, supplier management, onboarding, commercial coordination and ongoing compliance management.
You will work closely with our PMO Directors, operational supervisors, QHSE, Finance and other departments to understand future resource requirements and proactively develop the supplier and subcontractor capacity required to meet them.
This is not simply a purchasing or administration role.
The successful candidate will take ownership of developing and maintaining an effective pipeline of approved suppliers and subcontractors across multiple construction and retrofit disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Resource & Subcontractor Management
- Work with PMO East and West to continually assess current and forecast resource requirements by trade, geography and programme.
- Identify future resource gaps before they affect operational delivery.
- Advertise, source and proactively identify suitable subcontractors and specialist resources.
- Screen applications and conduct initial suitability assessments.
- Coordinate technical interviews/assessments with the relevant Senior Supervisors.
- Develop and maintain a live pipeline of prospective, onboarding, training and approved contractors.
- Coordinate contractor onboarding following technical/commercial approval.
- Maintain accurate contractor records, documentation and approval status.
- Coordinate the transition of contractors through induction, supervised deployment and full competency approval.
- Monitor resource capacity and provide regular reporting on gaps, pipelines and actions.
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Source and evaluate suppliers and service providers.
- Coordinate quotations, commercial comparisons and supplier assessments.
- Support negotiation of appropriate commercial terms and rates.
- Maintain approved supplier and contractor records.
- Coordinate supplier onboarding and due diligence.
- Maintain required insurance, certification, Health & Safety and commercial documentation.
- Monitor document expiry and ensure records remain current.
- Coordinate periodic supplier and contractor performance reviews.
- Identify and address supplier performance or capacity risks.
- Support development of alternative suppliers and supply-chain resilience.
Governance & Compliance
- Maintain procurement and supplier/contractor records in accordance with company procedures and ISO management-system requirements.
- Ensure required approval stages are completed before suppliers or contractors are released for operational use.
- Work with QHSE to ensure applicable compliance requirements are satisfied.
- Maintain appropriate audit trails and evidence.
- Support internal and external audits relating to procurement and supplier/contractor controls.
- Ensure underperforming or non-compliant suppliers/contractors are appropriately reviewed and escalated.
Systems & Continual Improvement
- Maintain accurate information within company systems and registers.
- Work with Business Systems to improve and automate procurement/resource workflows.
- Develop useful reporting on supplier performance, contractor capacity, onboarding status and future resource gaps.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency, commercial outcomes and supplier/contractor management.
- Use technology and AI appropriately to improve sourcing, research, administration and management information.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in one or more of the following:
- construction procurement;
- subcontractor management;
- supply chain;
- construction operations;
- contractor/resource coordination;
- supplier management;
- facilities/service procurement;
- or a comparable operational environment.
Experience within construction, retrofit, building services or a trade-related environment would be advantageous but is not essential for an exceptional candidate with transferable experience.
You should be:

What Success Looks Like
Success in this role will mean that Churchfield has clear visibility of:
what resources we need, what approved capacity we have, what is in the recruitment/onboarding pipeline, where future gaps exist, and what actions are underway to close those gaps.
It will also mean that our suppliers and contractors are appropriately sourced, assessed, onboarded, documented, reviewed and maintained within a controlled procurement framework.
Package
- €50,000–€55,000 salary, depending on experience.
