The Role:.
Working within the Finance team, you will support the preparation of reports, maintain business information, and assist with day-to-day financial and operational reporting.
The role involves working with data from various systems, helping management access accurate information, and supporting the wider finance team with reporting, budgeting and administration tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Administration

Prepare weekly and monthly reports using data from various business systems.

Update and maintain Excel reports, trackers and dashboards.

Assist with store target reporting and bonus calculations.

Ensure reports are accurate, complete and delivered on time.

Support the maintenance of key business performance information.
Data & Analysis Support

Gather, check and consolidate data from multiple sources.

Assist in monitoring sales, stock levels and key performance indicators.

Help identify trends and variances for review by management.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes through data preparation.

Provide ad hoc reporting as required.
Financial Administration & Controls

Complete daily and weekly reconciliations across tills, credit cards and online payments.

Investigate discrepancies and follow up where required.

Assist with debtor reporting and expense tracking.

Support compliance and control procedures within the finance function.
Systems & Process Support

Assist in maintaining reporting systems and business processes.

Help identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency.

Support finance automation and system improvement projects.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Ideal Candidate

Ideal for a recent graduate or someone with 1-3 years' experience looking to develop a career in commercial finance, reporting, business analysis and data insights.

Strong Excel skills and confidence working with numbers.

Good attention to detail and organisational skills.

Comfortable working with large volumes of data.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to learn and develop within a finance environment.

Previous experience in finance, administration, reporting or retail operations would be advantageous.

Knowledge of AI tools and emerging technologies would be beneficial but is not essential.
